How much money it pays?
Salary while undertaking recruitment training is $83.37 per day tax free, and pay during taking the whole military employment training is $98.56 tax free. Members of the Reserve on part-time service are paid at a daily rate of pay and on completion of training, this occupation attracts a starting rate of $128.36 per day. The working conditions of an artillery light gunner? The conditions or working as an artillery light gunner will be on ground set places. This will involve being flown to places, being loaded onto ground based places and setting mortars off, and stocking ammo. |
Security requirements?
Background checks will be proceeded, collection of relevant information from interviews to establish yourself, Australian Government Security Vetting Agency to make an informed assessment of an applicant's suitability for a security clearance. What team does this involve? An Artillery Light Gunner is part of a combat team responsible for setting up, siting and firing mortars in support of ground operations. This position is for both mental and physically tough people with thinking strategies to help themselves guide one another. Education & experience? To be able to excel in this operative you must have accomplished both mathematics and English subjects. You may be eligible to sit an Alternative Education Equivalency (AEE) assessment to ascertain your ability at the required educational level for this trade. Fitness/medical requirements? To be able to also get into this part of the defence force you must know medical training and history which this will then be gone through a test. Then to be physically tough you will go through a physical test to show you limits in this course. Military training/employment training? During the Reserve Recruit Training Course you will be required to take part in physical training, weapon handling and shooting, drill, first aid, navigation and field craft. Mortar Basic Course: 9 days; and Combat Arms Module: 16 days (includes Basic Communicator Course). |
